Due to accusations of kidnapping and murder, Emmanuel Eke, Ogechi Ogbogu (often referred to as “United”), Charles Anayor (also known as “Biggie”), and Nelson Isaiah have been placed under detention at the Port Harcourt Correctional Facility by a Rivers State High Court in Port Harcourt.
The suspects are charged with three counts that include murder, kidnapping, and conspiracy.
They allegedly plotted to kidnap and kill Ndubuisi Orlu Orlu in Ubima community, Ikwerre Local Government Area, Rivers State, at some point in 2012.
The victim, a teacher from Ubima, was allegedly abducted by the four accused and other people still at large, who then allegedly demanded a ransom of fifteen million naira, killed him, put his body in a sack, and buried him in a forest between two nearby settlements.
When the allegations were read in court, the accused entered a not guilty plea.
The presiding judge, Justice Augusta Kingsley-Chukwu, ordered their remand in a jail facility since no bail application was submitted.
In order to start an accelerated hearing, Justice Kingsley-Chukwu postponed the case until May 20 and 27, 2025.
