Banditry: Security Expert, Getso reveals how Turji can be arrested within 24 hours

Bandit leader Bello Turji is not in hiding, contrary to common belief, according to intelligence and security specialist Yahuza Getso, who emphasized that if the government is serious, he could be apprehended within a day.

Getso made the claim on Monday in an interview with ZINGTIE-monitored Channels Television’s The Morning Brief.

He stated that despite the government receiving intelligence on Turji’s whereabouts on multiple occasions, he is still not in custody.

Getso’s disclosure coincides with Turji’s recent accusation from the previous weekend.

Turji allegedly claimed to have kept in touch with two previous Northern governors and the current Minister of Defense, Bello Matawalle, accusing them of inciting insecurity throughout the nation, particularly in the North.

Additionally, the bandit leader claimed to have taken part in several peace talks with the Zamfara State Government while a former governor was in office.

Reacting to the development, Dr. Getso said: “This is beyond Bello Turji and the Minister of State for Defence, and others already mentioned. This is a question of national security, national integrity, and issues of compromise.

“First, I don’t think Turji affirmed a relationship with Matawalle in what he said. Although he admitted there was a dialogue, it was facilitated by a person who was later appointed as a Special Assistant.

“The question is: where is the intelligence? Bello Turji, in the new video released on Saturday, clarified that the animal feed was not given to him for free, but that he purchased it.

“Where is our intelligence? Who facilitated the discussion? Who are the accomplices? They have been found in government under Matawalle, Tambuwal, Masari, Mallam Dauda Lawal, Dikko Rada, and others.

“A lot of allegations have been raised. What is really happening with our intelligence and investigation?

“What is happening with the judiciary and those who have been named as accomplices? There are compromises and saboteurs on the side of the judiciary.”
