Six political parties converge in Kaduna to do the incredible

In anticipation of the general elections 2027, six political parties convened in Kaduna State on Thursday to unseat the ruling All Progressives Congress, or APC.

The African Democratic Congress organized the conference, which had as its theme, “Solid political party structure critical to the sustainability of the democratic process.”

The Coalition of United Political Parties, the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), the People’s Redemption Party, the Social Democratic Party, the All Progressives Grand Alliance, the New Nigeria People’s Party, and the KOWA Party were among the groups present.

The summit’s chairman, Lawal Nalado, lamented the “unbearable hardship” that Nigerians nationwide were subjected to and stated that the main purpose of the meeting was to examine the nation’s plethora of issues and potential solutions.

Speaking on behalf of Prof. Sule Muhammad, Bello enumerated the issues plaguing the opposition parties in the nation, including a shortage of funding, a lack of internal democracy, deteriorating transparency, and meddling by the ruling party.

Additionally, according to Ahmed Tujjani, the ADC and IPAC Kaduna State chairman, the summit’s goal was to provide practical solutions by outlining a plan of action for addressing the issues facing political parties and the socioeconomic sector.

According to him, “This is not a gathering for a merger or forming a coalition ahead of 2027 but rather a summit to discuss our common problems and suggest solutions of addressing them.

“We will call you again by tomorrow to read out our communique which will be a summary and possibly a mini-working document of solving our problems ahead of 2027.”
