Renowned Nigerian artist Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, popularly known as Skales, has shared his thoughts on why many musicians miss out on success.
Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) account on Monday, the singer emphasized that persistence and determination play a vital role in an artist’s journey.
He pointed out that a lack of patience causes many artists to give up right before their breakthrough moment.
Skales urged fellow musicians to stay the course and not lose hope.
“Your music will take you places all over the globe. You just need to be consistent enough to see it happen.
“Most artists quit before the blessings show up. Keep going,” he wrote.
Earlier, the singer revealed that he felt a renewed sense of purpose after his decade-old hit track Shake Body regained popularity—thanks to a viral dance video by Barcelona’s teenage football star, Lamine Yamal.
