Son murders his mother and sister with a machete

Victor Lorjaal, 21, has been arrested for reportedly using a machete to attack and murder his mother and older sister in Ekiti State.

Security analyst Zagazola Makama was informed by sources that the unfortunate event took place at Aba Ele Camp in Itaji Ekiti on March 25, 2025, at around 12:30 p.m.

Victor ambushed their mother, Mrs. Victoria Lorjaal, and their sister, Brenda Lorjaal, when they were gathering charcoal on the farm, according to the suspect’s brother, David Ioyzain, who reported the incident to the police.

David claimed that after hearing his mother’s calls for assistance, he hurried to the location and saw both victims dead and severely wounded by machete.

After the incident, Victor allegedly ran away, but he was subsequently discovered at home with bloodstains on his knees, nose, and forehead. He was caught and turned over to the police by members of the community.

The bodies of the victims were taken to General Hospital, Ayede, after authorities examined the murder scene and recorded the evidence.

Victor has been sent to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) for additional investigation, according to police sources.
