SS3 student, others storm Suleja community in violent attack over girlfriend

Six suspects were arrested by the  State Police Commandafter a violent altercation broke out between some young people and pupils from Annur Islamic Model School in Chaichainiya, Suleja Local Government Area, at Zuma Bread.

Zagazola Makama, a security analyst, posted on X about the development, revealing that the conflict, which started as a disagreement over women, turned into a fatal fight.

He claims that immediately following the Tarawih prayer on March 6, 2025, at approximately 9:11 p.m., the altercation started.

“Over twenty youths and students, allegedly led by an SSS 3 student, Umar Idris, invaded the area armed with dangerous weapons.

“During the clash, gunshots were fired from an unknown direction, hitting two minors,” he said.

Nura Jibrin, age 10, and Immarana Hassan, age 11, were the victims; they were shot in the thighs.

They were sent to Suleja General Hospital right after, where they are receiving treatment.

After a distress call, local vigilantes and police officers quickly stepped in to bring peace back.

“Six suspects have been taken into custody, and investigations are ongoing to apprehend others who were involved in masterminding the attack.”
