State suffers fresh bandit attack, hits different Local govt

A renewed episode of violence hit Katsina State on Monday night when armed assailants invaded Rairaye, a community in the Radda district of Charanchi Local Government Area. The attack left one resident injured, while a significant number of livestock were stolen.

The development was shared on Tuesday by security expert Bakatsine, who posted the update on his X account (formerly known as Twitter).

“Last night, bandits stormed Rairaye in Radda district, Charanchi LGA, Katsina State. One person was injured and a large number of cattle were rustled.

“This is yet another blow as communities across Katsina continue to face growing insecurity,” Bakatsine wrote.

At the time this report was compiled, the police in Katsina State had not yet provided an official response or further details regarding the incident.
