Student Entrepreneurs, Small Businesses to Benefit from N10m Grant Scheme
A N10 million grant is up for grabs for student entrepreneurs and small-scale business owners across six universities in Nigeria. The grant is provided by Stability and Sustenance in partnership with Engraced Events.
The beneficiaries will be selected during the Stability and Sustenance campus tour programme, tagged “Laff & Learn,” which kicks off today and runs until March 28. The tour will visit six universities, including the University of Port Harcourt, Veritas University in Abuja, Ambrose Ali University in Ekpoma, the University of Nigeria in Enugu, the University of Calabar, and the University of Lagos.
During the tour, seasoned entrepreneurs will share their expertise with students on how to monetise their skills and grow their businesses. Nigeria’s popular comedian, Chibuike Alfred, also known as Josh2funny, will also be on hand to share his experience in creating comic content that appeals to both local and international audiences.
According to Melody Fidel, founder of Stability and Sustenance, “The 2025 campus tour is aimed at encouraging students to embrace entrepreneurship, self-reliance, and job creation.” Fidel expressed concern that many graduates are still dependent on their parents due to the lack of white-collar jobs. “Our campus tour is to educate and empower students with the ability and capability to become employers of labour rather than wait for employment after school.
Fidel emphasised that stability and sustenance provide practical solutions to the problem through expert tutoring, community mentoring, and the provision of grants to deserving budding youth and entrepreneurs. “At Stability and Sustenance, we don’t just talk. We provide practical solutions to the problem,” he stated.
Itoto Emmanuel, CEO of Engraced Events, expressed excitement about working with Josh2funny on the campus tour. “Aside from fun, the show will also serve as a platform for advocacy against social vices such as cultism, drug abuse, and general violence,” Emmanuel said.
Stability and Sustainability provides youth and entrepreneurship coaching across Africa and the United Kingdom. The platform aims to empower young people with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in business and entrepreneurship.
The campus tour is expected to provide a unique opportunity for students to learn from experienced entrepreneurs and industry experts. The tour will also feature interactive sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities for students to connect with like-minded individuals and potential investors.
Fidel emphasised that the grant is not just about providing financial support but also about empowering students with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in business. “We want to create a community of young entrepreneurs who can support and learn from each other,” he said.
The N10 million grant will be awarded to deserving students who demonstrate innovative and entrepreneurial spirit. The grant can be used to fund business ideas, pay for business registration, or cover other business-related expenses.
Students who are interested in participating in the campus tour and grant competition can register online or visit the Stability and Sustenance website for more information.
The campus tour and grant competition are part of Stability and Sustenance’s efforts to promote entrepreneurship and job creation among young people in Nigeria. The organization has been working with universities and other stakeholders to provide training, mentorship, and funding to young entrepreneurs.
With the campus tour and grant competition, Stability and Sustenance is taking its efforts to the next level, providing a unique opportunity for students to turn their business ideas into reality.
