Hon. Adaora Chukwu, who held the position of Commissioner for Trade, Investment, and Industry in Enugu State, has stepped down from her role.
She is the daughter of Barr. Sullivan Chime, a former governor of the state.
It was gathered that Adaora left Governor Peter Mbah’s administration due to personal reasons.
“I wish to officially inform the public that I have resigned from my role as Commissioner for Trade, Investment and Industry in Enugu State.
“I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve and for the support I received throughout my tenure.
“I extend my best wishes to His Excellency, Dr. Peter Mbah, and the entire State Government as they continue to drive progress in our dear state,” she said.
In a related development, Governor Mbah has put forward a list of individuals nominated to serve as commissioners.
This was announced in a statement released on Thursday by Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, the Secretary to the State Government.
Onyia listed the nominees as:
Engr. Benjamin Osita Okoh
Prof. Benedeth Ekwutosi Okoli
Eyinna Franklin Ogbonna
Dr. Samuel Ogbu-Nwobodo
Prof. George Ugwu
Ben Collins Ndu Jr.
Onyia further noted that “The names have been transmitted to the Enugu State House of Assembly for confirmation.”
