Super Eagles to tackle World champions Argentina in March

In a friendly match in March, the world champion Argentina will play the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

According to SCORE Nigeria, Argentina will host the prestigious friendly.

Nevertheless, a date for the meeting has not yet been chosen. The dates of the FIFA friendly window are March 18 and 28.

Thanks to this game, the Super Eagles will be ready for the June 2026 World Cup qualifiers against the Republic of Benin and South Africa.

This will mark the ninth time the two nations have met.

The Super Eagles have lost to Los Albiceleste six times, five of those victories coming at the World Cup (1994, 2002, 2010, 2014, and 2018).

There has only been a single victory for the Super Eagles over the South Americans.
