Super Eagles drop one spot in latest FIFA ranking

Nigeria’s Super Eagles have dropped by one place in the latest FIFA men’s world rankings, which were released on Thursday.

The three-time African champions now occupy the 44th position globally.

On the continental chart, the team is ranked fifth behind Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, and Algeria, who hold the first four spots in Africa.

During the ranking period, Nigeria played a 1-1 draw against Russia in a friendly match held at Moscow’s Luzhniki Stadium.

Meanwhile, Argentina, the reigning world champions, continue to lead the global rankings.
