‘Take your first salary to your father for blessings, not your pastor’ – Actor Kanayo

Veteran Nollywood actor Kanayo O. Kanayo has advised Nigerians to never give their first salaries to priests, but rather to give it to their parents for ‘blessings’.

The actor further contended that it is not scriptural for Nigerian Christians to give a pastor their first income of the year.

He exhorted Christians to get up and quit sacrificing their financial security for their faith.

On his Instagram account, Kanayo wrote: “Take your first salary to your father for his blessings not your pastor.

“And to that Pastor who said it belongs to him in a video in January, did you ever consider, the feeding/ transportation to and fro the office for that month? Where is this in the Bible?

“Christians wake up. This is not Christianity.”
