Members of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, have started congregating at the Congress Secretariat in Abuja as part of a nationwide demonstration against the nation’s growing level of insecurity.

Along with supporters from civil society, Joe Ajaero, President of the NLC, is already present at the Secretariat.

Omoyele Sowore and his Revolution Now Movement associates stand out among them.

Police, members of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, and representatives from the Department of State Services have all been sent to the region as security personnel.

ZINTIE remembers that the NLC had planned to start a statewide demonstration against the nation’s insecurity on December 17.
