There’ll be nothing like political parties in 2027 – Akpabio

According to Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Akwa Ibom State will not have a political party in the general election of 2027.

All political parties, according to the Senate President, have dissolved in support of him for the Senate of Ikot-Ekpene Senatorial District.

Speaking during his midterm empowerment briefing on Friday at Ikot Ekpene Township Stadium, Akpabio asserted that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP umbrella has been ripped to pieces and is no longer able to defend the populace.

“As I speak with you, there is nothing like a political party in 2027 in Akwa Ibom State again. For the Senate of Ikot-Ekpene Senatorial District, all political parties have collapsed to vote for Senator Godswill Akpabio,” he said.

In the Senate, Akpabio represents the Akwa Ibom North-West Senatorial District.

While some people only profess God with their lips and not their hearts, Akpabio went on to characterize Umo Eno, the state governor, as a man of peace and one who believes in God.
