Three Katsina PDP Reps defect to APC

After being elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), three members of Katsina State’s House of Representatives have formally defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

During Thursday’s plenary, Speaker of the House Rajudeen Abbas made this announcement on the House floor.

The Speaker of the House read the letter from the defectors.

The main reasons given by the defectors for leaving the PDP were the ongoing internal turmoil and unresolved problems within the party.

They added that it has been challenging to properly serve their constituents and align with progressive governance due to the PDP’s internal instability.

In a show of support and solidarity, Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda attended the lawmakers’ official defection to the APC in the chamber.
