Amidst discussions around a potential transfer to Al Nassr, Victor Boniface was absent from Bayer Leverkusen’s practice today.
In order to replace Anderson Talisca, the Saudi Pro League team is trying to sign Boniface.
Talisca has taken a plane to Istanbul in order to sign with Fenerbahçe.
Al Nassr and Leverkusen are now in the process of negotiating an agreement.
Fabrizio Romano, a football transfer specialist, made this revelation on Tuesday through his X account.
Romano wrote: “Victor Boniface, OUT of Bayer Leverkusen training session.
“Al Nassr delegation is in Germany since yesterday to negotiate with both player and Bayer Leverkusen, as revealed.
“Deal underway with details still to be discussed for the striker’s move to Saudi Pro League.”
Last Monday, Boniface merely agreed to a 2026 contract extension with the Bundesliga winners.
The Super Eagles forward is now among Leverkusen’s highest paid players according to the deal.
