Odion Ighalo, a former striker for the Super Eagles, has disclosed his preference for Victor Osimhen to have signed with Al-Hilal in the Saudi League.
Last summer, several top clubs pursued Osimhen, and Al Hilal made a €70 million bid for him to Napoli.
Nonetheless, the 27-year-old ultimately put pen to paper for Turkish heavyweights Galatasaray.
In conversation with Winwin, Ighalo acknowledged that he comprehends Osimhen’s choice to relocate to Turkey.
He said: “For me, I wished he had gone to Al-Hilal, but Galatasaray is a big club, the biggest in Turkey, and they participate in the Champions League and perform well.
“Perhaps not now, but after the end of his experience with Galatasaray, he can still move to Al-Hilal later.”
