Nigerian forward David Okereke is on the verge of completing a permanent move to Turkish Super Lig side Kocaelispor.
Reports indicate that the 26-year-old has reached an agreement on personal terms with the newly promoted club.
Last season, Okereke played on loan at Turkish side Gaziantep, having joined from Italian Serie B team Cremonese.
During his stint at Gaziantep, he scored 10 goals and provided three assists across 30 league matches.
Kocaelispor’s technical director, Selçuk İnan’ın, who previously coached Okereke at Gaziantep, is said to be a driving force behind the transfer.
Meanwhile, Kasimpasa are also believed to have shown interest in signing the striker.
