Transfer: Ronaldo’s release clause revealed amid uncertain future with Al Nassr

Al Nassr forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, reportedly has a release clause in his current contract.

The 40-year-old, who is currently on strike, did not participate in Monday’s Saudi Pro League match against Al Riyadh.

Ronaldo might contemplate leaving the club in June, with options such as a transfer to Major League Soccer (MLS) or a return to Europe.

It is known that the captain of Portugal has a release clause set at €50 million.

Ronaldo is upset about the treatment of Al Nassr by the Saudi Sovereign Wealth Fund, PIF, which acquired majority stakes in Al Nassr, Al Hilal, Al Ittihad, and Al Ahli in 2023.

He believes that the PIF is hindering Al Nassr’s efforts to bolster their squad in order to stop the team from winning the title.
