Turkey: Osimhen reacts to Galatasaray’s draw at Hatayspor

Galatasaray’s match against Hatayspor in the Turkish Super Lig began without much vigor, according to Victor Osimhen.

In Friday night’s hotly contested match, Okan Buruk’s team held their hosts to a 1-1 draw.

In the 56th minute, Osimhen gave Galatasaray the lead with a penalty kick.

According to the striker, they were subpar during the first half and only really got going after the interval.

“There was a bit of a lack of intensity in the first half. We let the opponent play a bit. Then, with the speech of our coach, we started the second half very well,” he told the club’s official website.

“We also increased the intensity. We focused a lot on our game. These matches are difficult. We need to maintain our focus.

“We need to take advantage of every opportunity. We missed many opportunities. We will try to do better by learning from our mistakes.”

Osimhen has so far has scored 14 goals and 6 assists across all competitions for the Yellow and Reds this season.
