Montana State University (MSU) has announced a significant $4.8 million gift from the Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation, based in Missoula, to support the construction of a dedicated on-campus facility for Gallatin College MSU.
This generous donation completes MSU’s $22.5 million state match commitment for the new facility, which will be located in the heart of MSU’s South Campus District in Bozeman. Gallatin College MSU is the university’s fastest-growing college, offering professional and workforce trade certificates and associate degrees, dual enrollment courses for high school students, and developmental math and writing courses.
The Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation is the primary philanthropic organization for The Washington Companies and the Washington family.
“The Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation is pleased to support this project that will provide Gallatin College a dedicated home,” said foundation executive director Jon Bennion. “This new facility will be an important place where students will receive a great education and training for the careers of today and tomorrow.
