Controversial singer Portable has refuted claims made by social media personality VeryDarkMan, who accused him of theft.
The disagreement began after VeryDarkMan publicly called on President Bola Tinubu to take action on the ongoing violence in Benue State and the country’s worsening economic situation.
In response, Portable posted a video on Instagram, urging VeryDarkMan to stop criticizing the President. He argued that VeryDarkMan only began enjoying a luxurious lifestyle under Tinubu’s administration.
In retaliation, VeryDarkMan released an old video showing Portable allegedly being assaulted in 2020 for reportedly stealing a tricycle, prior to gaining fame.
On Wednesday morning, VeryDarkMan escalated the clash by releasing a diss track in which he mocked Portable and repeatedly labeled him a thief, chanting “Ole!” (which translates to “thief”).
Portable replied with a snippet of his own diss track posted on Instagram, denying the accusation and launching personal attacks, including calling VeryDarkMan “gay.”
“VeryDarkMan, your mother. You’re a poor person. Your father is a shoe maker, I take after my father I’m not a thief. Stop calling me a thief,” he sings.
