Political activist and attorney Deji Adeyanju has offered his thoughts on the recent increase in fuel prices and Dangote refineries’ intention to begin selling gasoline to Nigerians.
Deji Adeyanju stated on the Mic On Podcast that it would be preferable for Nigerians to purchase petrol from the private Dangote refinery, which has a reported cost of N1300, rather than from imported fuel, which has a landing cost of N1100.
He placed the blame for the current state of affairs on President Tinubu and the Federal Government, arguing that since fuel from a local refinery is being sold to Dangote in Nigerian Naira, its price should be set so that it is less than that of imported fuel and benefit Nigerians.
