The thirty-two-year-old Timileyin Ajayi, a suspect in the murder of Salome Adaidu, has been placed under detention at the Nasarawa State Police Command’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Lafia, the capital of the north-central state.

Ajayi claimed in a confessional video that he felt horrible about his fiancée Adaidu cheating on him. He went on to say that when he first reported to her, she initially denied it.

She did, however, acknowledge and apologise after presenting the proof.

Adaidu went to the room after the quarrel and heard her talking. After that, he seized the knife and did what ultimately killed her. He claimed that since “life is reciprocal,” he had no regrets about what he had done.
