Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, often known as Odumeje, is a controversial pastor who has described how, at the age of 14, he became involved in armed robbery.

Odumeje revealed that he was raised in the Onitsha neighbourhood of Anambra State on a hazardous street.

The cleric revealed this information while talking about his background and conversion from a life of crime to Christianity.

Growing up on a rough street led to a life of crime, Odumeje claimed in a widely shared video of him speaking to his followers.

He gave his mother credit for his metamorphosis since she showed him the way to salvation and led him to Christ.

Odumeje said: “I was born in Onitsha city, No. 3, Nnewi Street, and I grew up in a dangerous street. I became an armed robber at the age of 14. I became a terrorist. Until Jesus Christ arrested me through the help of my mother to change my life. And a destroyer became a saviour.”
