Michelle Obama, the former first lady of the United States, has responded to rumors that she and Barack Obama were divorcing. Michelle also asserted that she needed to start posing challenging queries. Women “struggle with disappointing people,” she said.

“They couldn’t even fathom that I was making a choice for myself, so they had to assume that my husband and I are divorcing. That this couldn’t be a grown woman just making a set of decisions herself,” Michelle said on Sophia Bush’s “Work in Progress” podcast.

Michelle went on to say that she wanted to be in charge of her leisure activities. “Who do I want to have lunch with? How long do I want to stay in a place? Do I want to travel? If a girlfriend calls and says let’s go here, I can say yes, ” she added.

When the former US president accepted a position at a Chicago law firm in 1998, Michelle and Barack first crossed paths.
