VIDEO: My salary for this month is N50,000 – Nigerian soldier laments after being unable to pay his transport fare to go see his family

A video of a Nigerian soldier complaining about his meagre pay has gone viral on social media.

The soldier disclosed in the video that his monthly salary is N50,000. He claimed to have just gotten out of the “bush” and was on his way to visit his family when he was informed that getting there and back would cost N70,000.

The soldier claimed that because transportation was so expensive, he was forced to return to the “bush” to finish his duties.
