Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, a prominent preacher from Plateau State, has expressed concern about a new danger to his life from Boko Haram terrorists, claiming that they have put a bounty on his head with a substantial payment for the first person to track him out and murder him.

In a video posted on social media on Thursday, Rev. Dachomo, the Regional Chairman of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) in the Barkin Ladi local government area of Plateau State, made the assertions. He claimed that the new threat is coming in response to his steadfast opposition to genocide and the videos he has been sharing of Christian mass burials and killings.

His position has also put him in hot water with Nigerian authorities when he disclosed that certain President Bola Tinubu supporters have been threatening and cautioning him to stop publishing these kinds of videos.

Additionally, his Instagram and Facebook profiles have been removed. Facebook Meta has also prohibited him from sharing the films, citing the possibility that they could endanger Nigeria’s internal security.

In the video, Dachomo disclosed that he had reliable insider knowledge that the Islamist terrorist organization is really considering killing him for criticizing their deadly actions.

“Boko Haram, the Islamic terrorists, have placed a bounty on my head, and anyone who kills me first will be rewarded,” he stated in the video.

The clergy, however, emphasized that nothing will stop him from carrying out his advocacy despite the personal risk he faces in addressing the escalating insecurity and persecution in the nation, despite the danger he faces in trying to bring attention to Christian genocide in the state and the Middle Belt region.

“Before I embarked on this journey of exposing Christian genocide in Plateau and in Nigeria, I knew my life would be in danger, but I do not fear death,” he stated.

“In fact, my death will be more dangerous to them than now that I am alive.

“This is not just about me; it is about every Nigerian who desires peace and safety. We need support to stand against this terrorism,” he emphasized.
