Senator Rochas Okorocha, a former governor of Imo State, has fervently urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to free Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, calling the action an essential step towards national stability and healing.

He underlined that Kanu’s release will stand for equity, solidarity, and a route to enduring peace in Nigeria.

He added that the people would take action if this call was ignored, demonstrating their shared determination to preserve justice and equity.

He used a powerful metaphor when he compared this possible course of action to taking back their “wife,” alluding to the close relationship between the people and the president’s spouse.

He clarified that this comment demonstrated the people’s dedication to justice and equity rather than posing a threat.
