An isolated cave in the Ramatirtha highlands of Karnataka, a state in southwest India, was turned into a house by Nina Kutina, popularly known as Mohi, a 40-year-old woman who lived there with her two children, Preya, age 6, and Ama, age 4.
The family set up a makeshift home inside the natural cave amid the thick jungle and difficult terrain, and they remained there for around two weeks before police officers found them and came to their aid.
Police discovered the woman and her kids during a patrol and discovered that her visa had expired in 2017, according to the Times of India.
The Indian media outlet stated that Mohi had entered India on a business visa and then traveled via Goa to the holy seaside town of Gokarna.
Her interest in Hinduism and Indian spiritual traditions grew, and she kept a Rudra idol and spent time in ‘Puja’ meditation while caring for her children in the remote cave that became her home.
The mom and her children are being deported to her own country by the police.
Police officials were seen with the woman in front of their woodland cave house in a brief video posted on Facebook by India Today.
