Viral corps member, Raye responds after being tackled for declaring love for Abuja

After receiving criticism for her praise of Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, former corps member Ushie Rita Uguamaye, who went viral when she voiced her displeasure with the economy and corps member pay, has answered.

Ushie, better known as Raye, wrote on X: “Abuja has my heart. I could stare at the mountains forever. Love this city.”

One X user thought Raye’s praise for Abuja was an insult to Lagos, telling her, “Well sha no come Lagos again.” Raye also went viral earlier for suggesting that Lagos State smelled.

Raye replied to the X user: “All the bolt drivers that have taken me around so far in Abuja are Yoruba people. The way you guys behave with this your Lagos someone would believe there’s no Yoruba living in another state.”
