‘We Don’t Have Time’ – Defence Minister Musa blows hot

Christopher Musa, the recently appointed Minister of Defense, stated on Friday that the murder of defenseless Nigerians must end.

Former Chief of Defense Staff Musa stated that farmers must return to their farms and youngsters must return to schools without fear of terror.

The Army general stated that there is no longer time to tolerate criminality and terrorism as he spoke at the Ministry of Defense in Abuja upon his return to office.

As the new minister officially took office, Ministry officials gave him a hearty welcome and sung songs of unity.

However, Musa said: “We do not have time, we are going to hit the ground running and we must respect the human rights of Nigerians.

“Our loyalty is to Nigeria and the Nigerian people, the shedding of innocent blood must stop.

“Children should be able to go back to school, and farmers should visit their farms without fear. And with the support and prayers we are getting from all Nigerians, we can’t fail.”

After Mohammed Badaru resigned, President Bola Tinubu selected Musa to be the Minister of Defense.

Following intense questioning, the Senate approved the former Chief of Defense Staff on Thursday.

President Tinubu swore Musa in at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Friday.
