What happened the moment Peter Obi paid condolence visit to Na’Abba’s family

Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 general election, visited the family of the late House of Representatives Speaker Ghali Na’Abba to offer condolences.

Na’Abba died on Wednesday following a protracted illness.

From 1999 until 2003, he served as the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) representative for the Kano Municipal Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

On Saturday, during the condolence visit in Kano, Obi referred to the departed as a good gentleman who had given his life to ensure the nation’s fledgling democracy was firmly established.

“The late politician was a great and good man who participated in the project of better Nigeria.

“As for the vacuum he left, we strive everyday to fill vacuum left by great men in Nigeria,” he said.

As the Speaker of the National Assembly’s lower house, Na’Abba championed and preserved legislative independence, according to Obi, who praised Na’Abba’s accomplishments.

In addition, Obi promoted harmonious cohabitation between Nigerians of all racial and religious backgrounds.
