The Nigerian woman, who was crying uncontrollably, described how her friends abandoned her after she got married in an internet video.

On social media, a Nigerian woman expressed her feelings over the “loneliness” that often accompany marriage.

The Nigerian woman, who was crying uncontrollably, described how her friends abandoned her after she got married in an internet video.

”There is this emptiness or will I saw loneliness that comes after getting married. Is it like a syndrome? I feel like there is this feeling you get after wedding because subconsciously, your friends tend to shift from you, your family assumes you now have your home so lets give her space…and now you are into a family that you are trying to get attached to very well.”

”There is this loneliness that just comes after the whole thing…They just feel like okay now she is married, lets leave her and you will just be there. I feel like it shouldn’t be like that because nothing changed…I only just got married..You shouldn’t stop calling or texting me”

According to her, even if friends and family want to give a newlywed woman space, it should happen gradually rather than all at once so she won’t notice the change.
