According to a Tanzanian man named Hamiss, he has spent the last 15 years sleeping in a coffin. He claims that when he purchased the coffin, his friends and family abandoned him entirely because they questioned the source of his income.
Hamiss clarified that although he was born normally, he felt he had inherited his parents’ powerful spiritual abilities around 15 years ago. He asserted that the spirit inside of him told him to purchase a coffin to serve as his bed. He was also instructed to buy a specific rod, which he now keeps with him and performs ceremonies with.
Speaking to Afrimax, one of his sisters acknowledged that she had ceased to associate with him after learning that, despite having a proper bed, he was sleeping in a coffin. She further disclosed that after purchasing the casket, he unexpectedly became extremely wealthy, which only made her suspicions grow.
But Hamiss is adamant that he heals people with his abilities. He clarified that he asks ailing individuals to lie in his casket until morning when they come to see him, and by the time they wake up, they have recovered.
He finds it challenging to lead a typical life because of his lifestyle. Finding a life mate has been extremely difficult, and his neighbors fear him. He remembered a time when he spent more than a year dating a girl from a different town. However, she abruptly stopped communicating with him after he invited her to his home and showed her the coffin in which he sleeps.
Hamiss still thinks he is like everyone else in spite of everything. He claims that because no one can hurt someone who is sleeping in a coffin, he sleeps there. In his opinion, he would not be hurt if his home were searched. Additionally, he contends that sleeping in a coffin makes sense because people won’t have to fight to bury him when he passes away.
