Because of the benefits of democracy that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has brought to the state and the nation as a whole, Governor Uba Sani has promised that Kaduna State will back his reelection.
Speaking on Sunday at a stakeholders’ engagement on the ongoing e-registration of APC members nationwide, the governor highlighted projects carried out by the Federal Government and those it has drawn in Kaduna State.
Governor Uba Sani told Zone 2 stakeholders that Kaduna State is aiming for 2.5 million members in the current operation because the APC is currently the state’s main party.
The governor claimed that President Tinubu’s initiatives in Kaduna State and his inclusive development approach, which distributes projects around the state, have caused a significant number of opposition members to switch to the APC.
Governor Uba Sani claims that the President has contributed N1 billion to the Kaduna State Light Rail project, which he called “unprecedented” in all of northern Nigeria.
He insisted that, except from Lagos State, no other subnational in Nigeria has received this level of assistance for carrying out the Light Rail Project.
‘’Only three weeks ago, I was in China, in the company of the Director General of Nigeria-China Strategic Partnership, at the instance of President Bola Tinubu, who has also decided that Kaduna State would be the pilot state to embark on a major poultry project.
‘’The project will generate at least 350,000 jobs. Already, the federal government has approved $200 million for it and Kaduna State will have the biggest poultry project in South-Saharan Africa and the ground breaking will be done in the next three weeks,’’ he added.
‘’Again, we must thank our leader, President Bola Tinubu, for approving the construction of Mando to Birnin Gwari road, which is very critical, as well as re-construction of Kwoi to Jama’a road,’’ he added.
In the current budget for Zone 1, Governor Uba Sani added, numerous projects have been approved in collaboration between the Kaduna State Government and the office of the Right Honourable Speaker, Tajuddeen Abbas.
He said that having House Speaker Abbas has been a godsend and that Zone 1, or the northern senatorial district, has profited more than any other zone in Kaduna State.
The Governor went on to say that Zone 1 is also fortunate to have Malam Balarabe Abbas Lawal, the Minister of Environment, who has done a great job of assisting Kaduna State in general.
‘’When you look at some of the major projects that we are embarking on, under ACRESal, addressing erosion and other climate issues, he has played a pivotal role in that regard.
‘’In the next one or two months, we will be doing ground breaking for one of the major projects in Zaria and Rigasa, totaling about N53 billion, courtesy of the support and effort of the Minister of Environment, Mallam Balarabe Abbas.
‘’So I can say that we are very lucky, we have people that are working for the Federal Government from our State that have been able to attract very important projects to our state,’’ he added.
Governor Uba Sani went on to say that Kaduna State will be among the top states in the e-registration process because of everything the state government has done for its citizens and the projects President Tinubu has drawn to the subnational.
APC members from Kaduna North and Kaduna South, Chikun, Kajuru, Igabi, Birnin Gwari, and Giwa local government areas were among the stakeholders from Zone 2 with whom the Governor had previously engaged on Saturday.
Stakeholders from Zone 1, which includes the local governments of Zaria, Sabon Gari, Soba, Makarfi, Kubau, Kudan, Ikara, and Lere, met with the governor and top government representatives on Sunday.
On Sunday, he also spoke with representatives from the southern Kaduna senatorial district,Zangon Kataf, Kachai, Jaba, Jemaá, Kaura, Kaura, Kagarko and Sanga local governments of zone 3.
