Wizkid reveals his career if he was not a musician

The Grammy-winning Afrobeats phenomenon Wizkid claims that if music hadn’t taken off, football would have been his fallback profession.

The superstar from Nigeria expressed his love for the game and his respect for the discipline needed to be successful in football.

Wizkid, a football player for his school, admitted that he turned his attention to music instead of training in the morning since he was impatient and didn’t enjoy it.

“If I wasn’t doing music, I would be playing football, I play football real good, I used to be in my school team”, he said.

But he insisted that he still had a great deal of respect for the sport and its requirements.

Wizkid also talked about his unorthodox security strategy, which involves depending on his close-knit management team, whom he considers family rather than bodyguards when travelling.
