Singer Wizkid has been accused by Nigerian Afrobeat musician Seun Kuti of appropriating his moniker.

He made the assertion on a recent livestream in response to a fan of Wizkid’s asking him to change his nickname from “Big Bird” as Wizkid also goes by “Biggest Bird.”

Kuti emphasized that he had been responding to the moniker long before Wizkid and advised the fan to tell Wizkid to be creative.

“Wizkid stole my name. Tell your fave to be original. Why are you telling me to change my name? Sorry, I can’t change it. This name has been here since. I am the first to come up with it. I am not dragging it with anybody, please,” he said.
