Small-scale businesses, particularly those run by women entrepreneurs, are poised to gain global recognition following a successful event organized by the Women Entrepreneur and Development Network. The event, which showcased a wide range of local products, was designed to promote women-led businesses and provide them with a platform to expand their reach beyond local markets.
According to the President of Business Vendor Hub, Mrs. Affiong Israel Ibanga, “small-scale businesses, particularly those run by women entrepreneurs, will gain global recognition following this impactful event. It has always been my calling to ensure that women with small-scale businesses are enriched and recognized globally for their craftsmanship and dedication.”
The event was attended by Mr. Maxwell Adew, a U.S.-based business mogul from Philadelphia, who emphasized the importance of Africa in global commerce. “Africa is the future; Africa is the place to be when it comes to medicine, food, clothing, and other human needs. The market is in Africa, and Africa needs to wake up and make sure it’s being recognized globally because of its riches and content,” he said.
Dr. Moses Timothy of the UFARM Cooperative Society also spoke at the event, highlighting the importance of exporting small-scale businesses offshore. “Small-scale businesses should go about exporting their businesses offshore without any hitch or problem. Any business chosen by KUUEZA Limited, USA, will move abroad without stress, with the help of AML Bonded Terminal Logistics,” he explained.
The business exhibition featured a wide range of local products, including food items, clothes, shoes, and handmade crafts. The vendors had worked tirelessly to prepare for the event, and the excitement was palpable. The exhibition was a resounding success, attracting visitors from around the world and providing a platform for women entrepreneurs to showcase their products and share their culture with others.
As the event came to a close, the vendors beamed with pride, knowing that they had created something truly special. The exhibition not only promoted local products but also fostered a sense of community and pride among the vendors. It was a celebration of their heritage, craftsmanship, and entrepreneurial spirit.
