Former Italian sporting director Enrico Fedele has advised Atalanta to part ways with their winger, Ademola Lookman, during the ongoing summer transfer window.
Fedele drew comparisons between Lookman and Paris Saint-Germain star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, asserting that the Nigerian international is not far behind the Georgian in terms of skill and impact.
Lookman has recently been linked with potential moves to Napoli and Arsenal.
Fedele believes the 27-year-old would serve as a strong replacement for Kvaratskhelia at Napoli, following the latter’s high-profile switch to PSG in January 2025.
“Would Lookman make the leap in quality? Yes,” Fedele said on Radio Marte, as reported by Area Napoli.
“His contract is not long and yet he has a high price. Atalanta must sell him.
“Furthermore he is a player who is getting close to Kvara, various situations could be favourable to his arrival in Campania,” he stated.
Lookman joined Atalanta in the summer of 2022 and has since had an impressive run with the Serie A side.
