FIFA has announced that the winners of the 2025 Club World Cup will be awarded up to $125 million.
This was confirmed in a statement from FIFA president, Gianni Infantino, on Wednesday.
Earlier this month, FIFA revealed a total prize pool of $1 billion for the event, which will be held in the United States from June 14 to July 13.
Approximately half of the $1 billion prize pool will be distributed among all 32 participating clubs, with the amount each club receives being determined by both sporting and commercial criteria.
As a result, prominent clubs like Manchester City and Real Madrid will receive a larger share compared to smaller clubs, based on a model developed by FIFA in collaboration with the European Club Association.
Additionally, $475 million will be awarded based on performance. The team with the most victories across up to seven matches will earn more money, with a maximum prize of $125 million available.
