FIFA announced the new officiating crew for the Nigeria vs. Benin Republic 2026 World Cup qualifying match on Wednesday.

The match is set for Monday, June 10, 2024, at the Stade Felix Houphouet-Boigny.

At first, Bamlak Tessema Weyesa, an Ethiopian referee, was supposed to call the match.

Pierre Ghislain Atcho, a Gabonese official, has now taken Weyesa’s seat.

Temesgin Samuel Atango and Tigle Gizaw Belachew, Weyesa’s countrymen, will continue to serve as Assistant Referees 1 and 2, respectively.

Formerly named as the fourth official, Tewodros Mitiku, another Ethiopian, has been replaced by Antoine Max Effa Essouma, a Cameroonian.

For the contest on matchday four, the referee assessor, match commissioner, and security officer who were initially assigned to their positions remain in place.
