Nigerian youngsters would have a greater say in administration, according to the African Democratic Congress, ADC.
In addition, it guaranteed 35% affirmative action for youth in appointed and elective positions.
The party made this promise during a meeting in Abuja between its youth and Senator David Mark, the party’s interim national chairman.
The discussions, according to ADC National young Leader Balarabe Rufai, focused on the party’s strategy to give young inclusion top priority and encourage a generational change in leadership.
He asserts that the ADC is committed to eschewing traditional political practices and giving young Nigerians a voice in determining the future of their nation.
Senator Mark gave the young people his unwavering support.
“The combination of the young and the old generation is the best thing for the country. My generation is ready to pave the way for the younger generation. It’s a generational shift; we want to transfer power to the youth,” Mark said.
