According to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, the All Progressives Congress (APC), led by President Bola Tinubu, will lose power to the opposition African Democratic Congress (ADC) alliance in 2027.
According to Atiku, several political parties are uneasy about the ADC within three weeks of the coalition’s ratification.
The former vice president, who was represented by Prof. Bayode Fakunle, spoke at the unveiling and inauguration of the Ekiti State ADC Executive Council in Ado Ekiti over the weekend.
According to Atiku, the ADC will never permit Nigeria to become a one-party state.
The former presidential contender claimed that the ADC will transform Nigerian politics and that it is for all Nigerians.
He said: “ADC was launched just about three weeks ago and within two weeks, it has become the most dominant party in the country and all other parties are already jittery.
“ADC is for all Nigerians, it is a party that will change the political landscape of this country and everyone is welcomed with open hands and by the grace of God, this party will take over the leadership of this country come 2027.”
Several prominent political leaders are members of the ADC, which was only established a few weeks ago.
In 2027, the party has promised to make sure it defeats Tinubu.
Atiku may run for the party’s presidential ticket in 2027, according to current indications.
