2027: APC Chieftain Makes Bold Prediction About South-East Votes

The South-East Woman Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mrs Oby Ajih, has expressed confidence that the ruling party will secure overwhelming support across the South-East during the 2027 general elections.

Ajih made the assertion in Umuahia while speaking at a mid-year prayer gathering and widows’ empowerment programme organised by the Abia State APC Woman Leader.

She stated that the electoral setbacks suffered by the APC in the region during the 2015, 2019 and 2023 presidential elections would not be repeated in the next electoral cycle.

According to her, President Bola Tinubu’s performance in the South-East and across the country has helped to reshape public opinion, creating a more favourable environment for the party ahead of the next polls.

Ajih maintained that the APC is poised to attract significantly higher support from voters throughout the region and record improved results in polling units across the five South-East states.

She also addressed concerns surrounding the abducted Otu school pupils and their teachers, dismissing claims that they had been forgotten by authorities.

The APC chieftain assured parents and relatives that the Federal Government remains committed to securing the release of the victims through appropriate measures.

“The children are not dead. They will not die. They will come out and they will be rescued by the grace of God,” Mrs Ajih said.

Also speaking at the event, the Abia State APC Woman Leader, Mrs Cecilia Erondu, explained that widows from across the party in the state gathered to pray for improved security across Nigeria and for the wellbeing of President Bola Tinubu as well as other APC candidates.

Erondu noted that the empowerment materials distributed to the widows were aimed at supporting their welfare and improving their means of livelihood.
