Ahead of the general elections in 2027, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has started e-registration to connect members to their National Identification Number (NIN) as part of its goal to build an extensive database.
Following the signing of an agreement with the exercise’s consultants, APC made the announcement.
The party in a statement posted on its official X account on Wednesday, stated, “The strategic agreement with our consultants will modernize, strengthen, and digitize our membership register.”
“The initiative marks a significant shift from an analogue to a digital membership database.”
Abdullahi Ganduje, the national chairman of the APC, signed the deal.
Among those in attendance during the signing were Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo and Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma.
