Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has denied dropping out of the 2027 presidential race, calling the reports untrue and deceptive.

According to certain sources, Atiku, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the 2023 election, has moved up in favor of Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate.

According to the narrative, Atiku supported Obi’s one-term presidency to maintain regional balance.

However, Atiku’s communications adviser, Paul Ibe, flatly denied the allegation, labeling it as fake news.

Ibe responded on Saturday, December 27, by posting a screenshot of the claim on his verified X account and writing, “Fake news: Not on the menu!”

This comes as sources indicate that Peter Obi intends to formally join the ADC.
