Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation, has been requested to resign by Paul Ibe, the former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s Special Advisor on Media.

When Ibe appeared on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief on Thursday, he made this claim.

This follows Keyamo’s criticism of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar for using a letter featuring Nigeria’s coat of arms to announce his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

“Where was Keyamo when Atiku Abubakar was in the frontline battling the military and eventually, with other compatriots, able to get them out? Where was he? He is just playing to the gallery. Sycophancy is the end game,” Ibe said.

Ibe criticized Keyamo’s accusation of impersonation against Atiku for using the Nigerian Coat of Arms emblem in his letters.

“Nobody is impersonating anybody. Atiku Abubakar is a former Vice President. That is known. I don’t want to dignify him (Keyamo). He can go to court if he wants to,” he said.

ZINGTIE recalls that Atiku resigned from the PDP on Wednesday, citing the party’s current direction as the reason.
