Ajibola Basiru, the national secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), claims he did not discuss a shared political objective with former Governor Rauf Aregbesola.

The spokesperson for his campaign organization called the accusations untrue in a statement.

He claimed it was untrue to say that the APC National Secretary had contacted Aregbesola about a potential partnership and reconciliation.

It also underlined how unthinkable such a move was, especially because Aregbesola was no longer an APC member.

According to ZINGTIE, Basiru is among the candidates vying for the party’s ticket in the August of next year’s Osun State governorship election.
