The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has updated the logo of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, on its official portal, now displaying the party’s blue-background “Two Fingers Up” design.
The revised logo carries a blue background, a two-finger victory symbol and the red “NDC” inscription.
The development comes after a September 8, 2026 judgment of the Federal High Court in Abuja, which ordered INEC to approve, upload and deploy the modified logo for elections conducted by the commission.
The dispute began after the NDC alleged that INEC initially uploaded the modified design but subsequently removed it and restored the old logo used when the party was first registered.
The party later approached the court, asking it to compel INEC to formally recognise and adopt the modified logo.
Justice Joyce Abdulmalik ruled that the new design, which was adopted during the NDC’s inaugural National Executive Council meeting on March 25, 2026, should be recognised as the party’s official logo.
Following the court judgment, NDC leaders instructed the party’s candidates and members to adopt the modified logo across campaign materials, including banners.
